Kids Conservation Camp has a new name- The Green Team Youth Conservation Club, ages 9-14! The Green Team is structured a little differently than Kids Conservation Camp. Each week we will focus on learning about a different conservation topic in-depth. Some of our topics include pollinators, aquatic habitats and macro invertebrates, and geology, just to name a few. We have several guest speakers scheduled and we will be performing some community service projects by helping different organizations, such as the Muskingum Valley Park District and the Dresden Wildlife Habitat Site. After summer camp is over, The Green Team will continue to meet once per month throughout the year, and more details about those club meetings will be available at the end of the camp.
Registration will begin on May 1, 2019
Payments for camp are due the Monday of each week and can be paid that morning in our office. The cost is $35 per camper per week for weeks that meet on Monday and Wednesday. There are two weeks in which we will only have camp one day and the cost will be $20 per camper for each of those weeks. For Week 5 the club will meet on Tuesday, July 2 only and for Week 7, the club will meet July 15 only. The cost covers all costs of transportation, activities, supplies, entrance fees, and an afternoon snack. If you sign your child up for a week of camp, you are obligated to pay for that week. In order to cover the cost of transportation, we must operate a full camp.
Camp will run from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and drop off/pick up will be in the Rural Service Building parking lot on Elberon Street along I-70 (same location as in the past). Campers can be dropped off beginning at 8:30 a.m. to accommodate parent work schedules and must be picked up at 4:00 p.m.
